Activities Ministry

Under the direction of Dr. Jacob Malone and housed in the Activities Center, the Activities Ministry strives to meet the needs of a wide segment of First Baptist Church. Sports include: Basketball in our college sized gym for adults, youth, and children beginning in the first grade and Softball on our lighted softball field for adults. Crafts are scheduled on a seasonal basis in the Arts and Crafts room in the Activities Center. The Activities Ministry also has responsibility for churchwide fellowships, travel, and retreats as well as special event programming. Dr. Malone works with ministries and groups with in the church in planning retreats, outing, and special events.

Adult Ministry

Our overall adult ministry is under the supervision of a both the Minister of Senior Adults and Activities, Dr. Jacob Malone and the Minister of Missions and Faith Development, Rev. Kelly Hamilton. Dr. Malone works with Adults 40+ years of age while Rev. Hamilton works with those under 40. Together they work with a lay Adult Bible Study Council. The central core of our Adult Ministries is our Bible Study program. This includes not only Sunday School in the traditional sense, but also varied weekday Bible Studies.
