Sunday School – Sundays at 9:40 am
Preschoolers are cared for in age-divided small groups during Sunday School. From the youngest age, they are taught about God’s love for them and others. As preschoolers grow, they learn foundational Bible stories through story, song, games, home living, puzzles, blocks, nature, art and books. A hostess greets visitors each week in the Preschool Building to help families find the appropriate class.
Visitor and Security Procedures
All visitors should check in at the hostess table in the center of the Preschool Building. The hostess will have new families complete an information card complete with allergies or special instructions for their children. The hostess will guide families to the appropriate room based on the child’s birth date.
Once at the room, an identification tag should be completed. One part is placed on the child’s back. One part is placed on the diaper bag or tote. The final part is kept by the parent for presentation at pick-up. All three parts contain matching numbers.
Silent pagers are also available from the hostess if desired.
Care for children ages birth to four years is provided during the 8:30 am, 11:00 am and 6:30 pm worship services. Three and Four year olds participate in Kids Own Worship where they give offerings, sing songs, hear a Bible story and pray together. Younger children will be engaged in story, active play, puzzles, games, song, home living and art during the worship hour. Extended Session affords parents an opportunity to participate in worship with the confidence that their children are also being well cared for and engaged in age-appropriate activities in the Preschool Building.

Servers engages preschoolers ages 3-5 in awareness about missions and the work of missionaries throughout the world. Preschoolers hear mission stories, listen to prayer requests and learn that prayer is talking to God. They learn that they have an important role in missions as they participate in activities that help others.
When a new child is welcomed into a family, a rose is placed in our worship services to celebrate the birth or adoption. Infants are welcome in our nursery at six weeks of age. Nursery caregivers will follow directions of parents to maintain feeding and sleeping patterns as much as possible. A private nursing room is available for nursing mothers in the Preschool Building. Parental Dedication services are scheduled throughout the year for the purpose of acknowledging our children as gifts from God entrusted to our care and committing to raise them in a home where Christ’s love is the foundation.
